Stick To Simple

I have always been “the quiet one.” The girl who would have the least to say in a group of peers, the girl who would ask the least amount of questions in a classroom. Even to this day, unless I’m in a group consisting of my closest friends, I will often keep my ears open and my mouth closed. I’m not impossible to get along with, but many people have wondered at my “stuck-up” disposition; however, I am anything but. I have surprised individuals more than once when they discover I am not mute.

Okay, maybe it’s not that bad. I can be incredibly quiet though. Which makes me wonder why I can’t get my brain to shut up. Does this come with the territory? Are introverts inevitably cursed with a quiet outward demeanor and a chaotic mind? You would think that all would be still in this head of…
